At The Gannet in Argyle Street, Chef Partners Ivan Stein and Peter McKenna have greatly contributed to Finnieston’s reputation for good food. Morton’s remit was to provide the complete kitchen package, from cold rooms and wine cellar, dishwashing, main kitchen itself and the front-of-house bar fittings, even down to the air-conditioning. Some existing equipment was integrated into the design to keep the budget down without compromising on appearance or operational aspects.
The restaurant has won Best Newcomer Restaurant in the Chefs in Scotland Excellence Awards 2014, Best Newcomer in The List Eating and Drinking Awards 2014 and an AA Rosette Award.
