When a prospective customer knows what they want and is into the finer detail of how it’s going to turn out to be best for them, they are a joy to work with. David and his daughter, Emma were no exception. Not without their problems on the build before it was ready for fitout, R H Morton lent their support to try and ensure the end result was the right one.
Lishman’s is a well established and highly successful business. They invest in their staff and good quality equipment alike and the contract included a 10 Grid Rational Combi Oven for their daily roasts and added value products, an undercounter Winterhalter Utensil Washer so as not to sacrifice work surface, Foster Blast Chiller and Walk-in Chill, Vacpac machine, Sadia Heatrae Boiler to provide hot water to the kitchen, Lincat wall cupboards and Morton fabrication which included sinks, sound deadened and strengthened bakery worktops, bespoke shelving to kitchen and dry goods store and a ventilation canopy. The existing Pie Machine, Mixer and Pastry Brake were incorporated into the design and a large bespoke butchery table manufactured for the Production Unit adjoining the car park.
The effect of this additional space has enabled production of their award winning pork pies to be doubled, and provided an opportunity for further product development. Morton’s arranged for training to be given on the Rational Combi and classes are regularly available in Harrogate and Leeds.
Our congratulations go to David, Emma and all their team for being awarded the “Best Butcher’s Shop in the UK for 2017″ and we look forward to seeing where they will go next.
